About the project

Digital Voices for Inclusive Local Governance

Epoka e Re Centre, supported by the Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI), helps residents of Fier Municipality use technology to stay informed, get services and have a say in local decisions.

The focus is on young people, women, rural residents, older people and anyone with limited access to technology.

What we do

  • 8 digital skills trainings

For about 120 young people, women and residents, especially in rural areas: online services, online safety and false news.

So far: 1 trainings, 23 participants.

  • 4 community digital hubs

Three in rural units and one in Fier, where volunteers help with technology and online public services.

  • 9 community consultations

Meetings in the city and villages, with the option to take part online too.

  • 1 community priorities report

Views on the local budget, summarised for Fier Municipality and the Municipal Council.

fierinfo.com continues after the project as a lasting way to run surveys and consultations and to hear the residents of Fier.

The large figures are the project's targets. “So far” shows the activities the team has recorded.
